Who we are

Million Dollar Services is operated by FIVESMITHS LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13985094), whose registered office is at One Central Square, Central Square, Cardiff, CF10 1FS. "We", "us" and "our" mean that company.

By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What this site is

This site describes playbooks, tools, a course and a book about building and running a services business, and lets you join a waitlist for them.

Nothing here is for sale yet

None of the items described on this site is currently available to buy. Joining a waitlist is not a purchase, a pre-order, a reservation or a contract. You are not charged, and you owe us nothing.

Descriptions of items that have not launched set out what we currently intend to produce. They may change, and we may decide not to produce something at all. Prices, contents, formats and timing are not fixed until an item is actually on sale, and any launch date we give is an estimate rather than a commitment.

When items do go on sale we will publish separate terms of sale covering payment, delivery, licensing and your cancellation rights. Those will apply to the purchase; these terms cover your use of the site.

The waitlist

Give us a working email address that is yours to give. We use it as described in ourprivacy notice, and you can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. We may remove anyone from a waitlist, or close one, at our discretion.

Our content

Everything on this site — the writing, the frameworks and their names, the design, photographs and the signature — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other rights.

You may read the site and share links to it. You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link. You may not republish, sell, or use the content to train a machine learning model without our written permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site unlawfully, or to break someone else's rights
• submit anyone else's personal data, including signing up an address that is not yours
• submit false or misleading information
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or anything behind it
• scrape, or place automated load on the site that interferes with anyone else's use
• introduce anything malicious

Accuracy, and what this is not

The site describes one person's experience of building services businesses. It is offered for general interest and information.

It is not professional advice. Nothing here is financial, legal, tax, accounting or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from someone qualified who knows your circumstances. Every business is different, and what worked in one may not work in yours. Take your own advice before acting.

Figures and dates are drawn from personal notes, diaries and recollections and checked as carefully as we can, but we do not warrant that everything is complete, current or free of error.

Availability

We do not promise the site will always be available or uninterrupted, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Links to other sites

Where we link elsewhere — our newsletter on Substack, or a source we cite — we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data. Their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, anticipated savings, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or from reliance on anything in it.

If you are using the site as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version in force is the one published when you use the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
